The Future Hospital: Hospital change and public value
21 June 2006 -Hospitals are changing. In particular, the traditional stand-alone local district general hospital is under threat. However, the local hospital remains a powerful icon of the NHS, retaining considerable support and a critical place in our understanding of place, health, public services and the performance of government. Unpopular hospital change can damage confidence and trust in health and public services.
