As we approach the next election, the Institute for Public Policy Research (ippr), the UK's leading progressive think tank, is hosting a series of speeches by senior politicians and leading thinkers to set out their vision of a progressive future for Britain.

At today's event, the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon Gordon Brown MP discussed plans to make parliament more accountable, calling for constitutional reform to change the way parliament works.
